Short version: your location (or postcode) is sent to Google so we can find studios near you. Your email is only used to send you the shortlist you asked for. We only add you to a mailing list if you tick the box. We do not sell anything to anyone.

Who runs this

Curiously Reformed is a project by Curious Brand, a branding studio in London. If you want anything here explained, changed or deleted, email seckin@curiousbrand.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

Your location or postcode

If you tap "Near me", your browser asks your permission and then gives us approximate coordinates. If you type a postcode, town or city instead, we use that. Either way it is sent to Google Places to find studios nearby. We do not store it on our own servers, and we do not keep a history of where you have searched.

What you type in the search box

You might describe a health condition (a bad back, a pregnancy, an injury). That text stays in your browser and is used to rank results. We deliberately do not send it to Google Analytics. It is only sent onwards if you ask us to email you your matches, in which case it goes into that email so the message makes sense.

Your name and email address

Only if you enter them. We use them to send you the shortlist you asked for, once. That email is sent through Brevo, our email provider.

If (and only if) you tick the consent box, we add you to a mailing list called "Curiously Reformed" so we can send occasional Pilates tips. You can unsubscribe from any email, and that is the end of it. If you leave the box unticked, you get your matches and nothing else.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which parts of the site people use. It only loads if you press "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you press "Decline", no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. We anonymise IP addresses.

To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again.

Who else sees your data

Nobody buys data from us, because we do not sell it. We do not pass your details to the studios we show you. When you contact a studio, that is you emailing them directly.

How long we keep things

Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention. Search locations and the text you type are not stored by us at all.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email seckin@curiousbrand.co.uk and we will sort it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

One honest note about the studio information

Studio details, ratings and reviews come from Google. The specialisms we show (things like "clinical" or "prenatal") are inferred by reading those reviews, so treat them as a strong hint rather than a fact. Always check with the studio before booking, especially if you have an injury, a medical condition or are pregnant. Nothing here is medical advice.

Back to finding a studio

Tell us what your body needs. We read real studio reviews and rank what is near you.
